PA-RISC Linux Debian Ports Support

The hppa linux port is currently in the process of moving to the debian-ports distribution.

For more information about debian-ports see http://www.debian-ports.org.

Debian_Ports_Installation describes instructions on how to install or upgrade a PARISC box with the "Debian Ports" unstable release.

Status as of 2013-04-19

• In 2011/2012 all debian-unstable packages were moved to the debian-ports repository at http://ftp.debian-ports.org/debian

• Since then new packages weren't built yet

• To be able to provide updated packages we (Dave & Helge) have set up an additional (temporary) repository at http://ftp.parisc-linux.org/debian-ports/unstable

• This means, until we are able to push new packages from a new buildd-server automatically to debian-ports, you will have to add both repository into your /etc/apt/sources.list file.
